When I joined Nuance in 2005 we were a 3-person IT business systems team supporting a company in growth-by-acquisition mode. At the time, I positioned myself as the go-to person between IT and the business and that role has grown as the company grew:
* As new senior business leaders came into Nuance, I quickly gained their trust.
* When Legal needed a contract management system implemented, I guided them through vendor selection and system implementation processes.
* When our Oracle eBusiness Suite couldn’t meet the demands of our changing business, I recommended and developed the business case for the upgrade to Oracle 12; an upgrade that made transactions more efficient, provided new functionalities, and created new multi-organization capabilities.
* When HR needed a platform for training employees I partnered with them in implementing Nuance University, then helped transform the platform 5 years later into a cloud-based, revenue-generating training portal for customers and partners.
